Suspenseful Page-Turner! When I started reading this book I feared it was going to be a bit of a cliche with the poor girl meeting a rich guy trope. How wrong was I! This book has a meaningful story with credible and flawed characters with a past, which develop though the story. There are some hard hitting scenes in it, so expect to be shocked whilst reading. I loved this story and eagerly await a follow-up. Highly recommend it!
I was very much looking forward to reading the sequel to Imprinted Curse and it did not disappoint.
The story is stacked with suspense, romance, action, drama and keeps the reader glued to the page.
The story of Emily and Daniel, while quite complex is compelling and hard to put down. Their tough fight against corrupt politicians, rhino poaching and human trafficking is set in the magnificent South African Bushveld and cosmopolitan Sandton.
The author captures the allure of Africa: the sounds of the wild, the unforgettable sunsets, the calmness before the night unfolds... Lulled into this dream world, one is quickly shaken back to reality as events unfold. Events Emily thought she could control--personal, as well as those inside the dark world of human trafficking--in her search for the truth, till the final moments the circle closes and reveals the truth. One she could never have imagined. Highly recommended!
